"The Right To Hunt"
A MESSAGE OF IMPORTANCE TO ALL WHO HUNT AND FISH AND TO THOSE WHO OPPOSE THAT RIGHT!
If you play by the rules and obey the laws as set forth by your State Wildlife Management Agency, stand up for your right to Hunt and Fish and to enjoy these two great Outdoor Experiences.
Despite the efforts of Anti-Hunters and Animal Rights activists who would take away that right to do so if they could, it’s not their right to take it away.
There is no inteligent acceptable reason for their to be an attempt to stop hunting, especially when it comes from individuals who live in houses that sit on, and drive cars that travel over, ground that was once home to millions of wild creatures displaced and killed, for the convenience of a roof over their heads and wheels under their asses. I doubt these individuals are concerned enough about the daily ongoing highway slaughter of countless thousands of living creatures crushed beneath those wheels to stop them from driving from home to work, to play, or to meetings to protest the killing of animals.
There is no inteligent acceptable reason for there to be an attempt to stop hunting, by individuals who consume meat, fish, and poultry, all of which are made available as food, by killing living creatures.
There is no intelligent acceptable reason for there to be an attempt to stop hunting, by individuals who don’t eat meat, protest the killing of animals for food, and consume only grains, fruits, and vegetables grown by farmers who must kill many thousands of crop destroying wild creatures like deer, rabbits, woodchucks, birds, and others each year in order that there be enough of a crop left to harvest worth bringing to market to feed these same individuals who espouse the virtue of their vegetarian lifestyles and call “Murderer”, any individual who would dare include meat in their diet.
There is no intelligent acceptable reason for anyone to eliminate hunting because whether you choose to go afield with your gun or bow to kill your food or go to the supermarket to purchase it, it becomes food only after somebody kills to insure that it is available as food.
Unfortunately Anti-Hunters don’t seem to realize that utilizing for food that which Nature has
provided for us in the wild decreases the need for growing feed crops, that ravaging animals have to be killed over, so farmers are able to harvest enough to raise domestic animals on, which then have to be killed to feed the hunter that wasn’t allowed to shoot the deer, which would have made unnecessary the raising and killing of the domestic animal and lessen the chances of the animals rights activists themselves killing the deer or getting killed by one while driving because they wouldn’t allow the hunter to kill it in the woods, which would have made this whole chain of events, and this long sentence, a lot less likely to happen in the first place.
An important difference between the Anti-Hunter and the Hunter is that the the Hunter has accepted the reality of life and death and knows that there is nothing any of us can do on a scale large enough to matter to change Nature’s Law that clearly says “if you don’t eat you don’t live and if you don’t kill, you don’t eat.”
Since most if not all Anti-Hunters probably fall into the category of individuals without a past experience of having to rely upon their own abilities to put food on the table, their minds most likely have no recollection of this activity.
If their minds have no recollection of this activity, naturally these people may not think about it in the realm of being a necessary part of life. Couple this with living in the good times which means most everything needed for survival including Food, Clothing, and Shelter is supplied to us by an outside service, and it becomes easy to understand how some people lose touch with the reality of where these things do come from..
For the benefit of those individuals, lets run down the list .
1] Food, which supplies life sustaining nutrients needed by all living entities, including Man, to survive, comes from living plants and creatures and the environment, and those nutrients, which are utilized by these living entities to stay alive, can only only be utilized after that food in which they are contained is killed, consumed, and digested. END OF STORY!!
2] Clothing, comes from killing animals for some kinds of products such as leather-goods and furs. Other clothing products come from man-made materials and include the Anti’s choice, Fake Fur, which comes from synthetically manufactured materials, the by-products of which frequently find their way into the environment and often threaten the lives and well being of those very creatures the Anti’s want to keep you from utilizing for Real Fur.
3] Shelter, our Homes, come in large part from lumber which obviously to most, comes from trees, that birds and other animals live in and are surely killed in, in substantial numbers each year by the process of cutting them down for the needed building materials we use.
Of course most animal rights activists don’t work at the base line of any of the industries which produce the above necessities of life so they are further mentally shielded from the realities of what goes on in the real world.
Those fanatical animals rights activists that rant and rave and demand that we stop even the bare minimum utilization of animals and the environment as a means of providing our essentials of life have the right as American citizens to live with their fantasy thoughts of how life is supposed to be, but they are damn lucky that most people live in the real world and will continue to supply them in spite of themselves with those essentials of life that it is obvious by their behavior they would have a difficult time supplying themselves.
They will continue to supply them that is, till their numbers grow too large for rational individuals to be able to cope with or care to cope with anymore. That’s when they will suddenly be faced with the grim realization that the world they thought was one big Disney adventure is in reality a cold hard place to exhist, survived in only by individuals who are able to realistically adapt and by those who are assisted by individuals who are able to realistically adapt..
Those who participate in Hunting & Fishing and enjoy Nature and get to utilize some of its abundance, more than likely have adapted to life in a realistic way. Unlike the minds of the Anti-Hunters which probably hold mainly memories of how life should be, the Hunters mind holds many memories of how life really is.
Fortunately, their are still many sound reasoning individuals in this country who havn’t fallen prey to the beliefs of the fake principles of life set forth by those not intelligent enough to see reality in front of their faces. Fortunatley they have a better understanding of Nature and know there is nothing any of us can do on a scale large enough to matter to change it, and survive the change. Lets hope it remains this way.
Certainly the wild creatures which stimulate our desire to spend time afield hunting and fishing and enjoying the natural world deserve our respect and appreciation for their exhistance.
As part of that appreciation, these creatures should be properly managed to help insure that their numbers don’t exceed the lands ability to feed and keep them healthy.
They deserve no less than our best efforts while hunting to administer a well placed shot, whether using the gun or bow, to help insure a quick and humane kill.
Combining our love of being afield with the above mentioned respect for the wild creatures we hunt, goes a long way in helping those creatures live the time they have on this Earth in a healthier less stressfull manner than the Animal Rights people’s plan of leaving their lives completely to the often ruthless whims of Nature which assures them only of an uncertain lifespan and an excellant chance for that which the “Friends of Animals” would not care to witness, a lengthy and sickeningly grizzly demise.
Appropriate, seems to be the old saying, “With Friends Like These, Who Needs Enemies”.
My suggestion to the Animals Rights Activists is to either accept the Facts of Life as what they are or seek professional help to deal with the reality of them.
It’s just not healthy to aggravate yourself over something that you just can’t change and it’s just not right to insist that others change that which just must be!
